Brief
Create a new brand identity for ekasi art centre along with a campaign to raise awareness about the new brand identity and its positioning.
Back story
ekasi art centre is an art gallery, the provide space for young creatives in the townships and rural to create and exhibit their work. At ekasi art centre the youth of townships can create and exhibit from photography to music and at end of the program they will sell their work. program runs for 14 months. Other young artist who are not part of the program can also showcase the at the centre.
The aim for the centre is to help and grow young artist from townships and rural areas make their mark in creative industry. Ekasi creative revolution
BRAND IDENTITY
During the brainstorming we kept going back to the word ekasi, so idea was to show the essence of ekasi that where we got the  idea for the visual style the this brand.
We want keep thing thigs simple. So, we make simple illustration of the land scape of a township and we want to make as vibrant and warm. This will the key visual throughout the enter stationery and website and other digital marital.
SOLUTION
There are many artists in rural areas and townships many off them want their work to be seen and their voices to be heard but they do not have easy access have the connections to help them as young creative, platforms to showcase their work.
That were I got the of calling these artist to tell tell their stories by exhibiting and showcasing the work at ekasi art center that were we got the slogan “IT TIME FOR US TO TELL OUR OWN STORIES’ which means now those young creatives can finally showcase their work and make their work known through ekasi art center will give them the platform for them to tell their stories. This we will inspire other creatives from the same back ground to start creating and other organization like these to created
So we call all ekasi creatives to take part in this revolution so that other creative can have access in to the creative space/industry. This will form the basis for the entire campaign.
